We recently hosted the highly accomplished, sports-loving Suzanne Abair on our & Then Some podcast.

Suzanne is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer for the real estate private equity firm, Northland as well as the President of the Atlanta Dream of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). Beyond her roles at both Northland and the Dream, Suzanne serves on the Board of the Executive and Finance Committees of YW Boston, a nonprofit focused on eliminating racism and empowering women. In the past year, she was also recognized by the Boston Business Journal as one of its 2020 Women Who Mean Business.

During our discussion, Suzanne shared how communication has played a key role in making Northland an employer of choice as well as in managing numerous multifamily communities across the U.S. during the pandemic. She also explained what she admires most about the WNBA, and how the league’s strong values around equality, diversity, and inclusion are a perfect match for Northland’s culture.
