We were honored to attend the Massachusetts Health Council Awards Gala on Tuesday night. The event celebrated 94 years of advocacy for prevention, wellness and healthy living in the Commonwealth. Healthcare leaders from around Massachusetts were at the event to mingle, to be honored for their work, and to eat great food. We truly felt like we were “Dining with the Stars,” the theme of this year’s awards dinner.

A competition between hospital chefs was held at the event. Participants included: Atria Senior Living, Benchmark Senior Living, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston’s Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Healthcare Services Group, Salmon Health & Retirement, and South Shore Hospital.

Judges Lydia Shire, Former New England Patriots Superstar Jarvis Green, WBZ medical correspondent Dr. Mallika Marshall and Boston Herald columnist Erica Corsano awarded the gold medal to South Shore Hospital for their healthy pumpkin lobster bisque.

Arthur Winn’s Winn Family Charitable Foundation graciously sponsored the event. Arthur’s good friend and celebrity chef, Lydia Shire designed and prepared an amazing dinner for attendees as the awards were presented.

Each awardee, including client Lahey Health, has done something to truly change and help healthcare throughout Massachusetts. We were proud to be a sponsor of this event and cannot wait until next year’s gala!
