At The New England Society for Healthcare Communications’ (NESHCo) 27th Annual Lamplighter Awards, Solomon McCown was honored to receive nine Lamplighter Awards at the ceremony – a new record for our agency – receiving four Gold awards, three Silvers and two Awards for Excellence for our work with a number of clients over the last year.

We were among 51 hospitals, healthcare facilities, marketing and advertising agencies recognized for excellence in marketing, public relations and communications at the event.

We received a Gold award for work with Massachusetts Medical Society on its social media ad campaign around the November 2016 ballot measure seeking to legalize marijuana for recreational use in the Bay State.

We received two additional Golds for our work with Atrius Health for media outreach around both its advance care planning and its leadership in healthcare innovation. We received two Silver awards for our media relations strategy regarding Atrius Health’s work with interoperable IT, and for our work with both Atrius Health and VNA Care with the “Let’s Talk About Death” segment on WCVB’s Chronicle. Rounding out our work with Atrius Health, we received an Award of Excellence for coverage the organization’s dedication to going beyond apps to foster true communication in healthcare innovation.

Finally, we received a Gold award for our media outreach for Lahey Health around a silver lining to the opioid crisis, a Silver award for outreach around the opening of Lahey Hospital & Medical Center’s new Emergency Department, and an Award of Excellence for our social media efforts with the organization’s “Thursday Three” video campaign in which doctors, nurses, clinicians and other staff discuss topics of interest to Lahey Health patients.
