With 271 million monthly active users and 500 million tweets sent per day, it can be difficult for brands to establish their presence on Twitter. Connecting with users and reaching target audiences takes time and effort. Brands must study their desired audience and what its habits are in order to build a community. With such a fast-paced social media channel, brands need to find ways to establish personal connections with Twitter users. Here are some tips to maintain and increase engagement on Twitter:
1.Use relevant hashtags: Research hashtags relevant to your brand, and use them. Jump in on Twitter conversations around these hashtags. Some hashtags pertain to specific events, so take advantage of Twitter chats about conferences and events.
2. Retweet, favorite, message, and mention: Retweet other users’ content or mention their content in your tweets to show that you are interested in what they are saying. This can help get these people to notice your brand and want to connect with it. When others mention your brand’s name or retweet your content, thank them and reply to increase engagement.
3.Listen: Keep up with what is going on within your industry. Be aware of the latest news and know what your target audience wants and what is important to them. This way, you can set your brand up to cater to needs you know are there.
4.Use Twitter ads: Using Twitter ads can be extremely beneficial for your brand. This allows you to specifically target your audience by focusing on their interests and behaviors. Twitter ads reach a wider audience and can result in increased engagement from the population you want to focus on.
